Through a new program of the Greater Mid-Atlantic Region of Church World Service, supporters of the Tools & Blankets Program will have the opportunity to earn a banner recognizing generous gifts. A banner will be awarded to churches whose contributions meet one of the following criteria.

For large groups or congregations, donations over $1,000 in one calendar year.

For small groups who give generously and consistently, donations of $1,000 accumulated in 2 years.

Fallston Presbyterian Church in Maryland raised $600 for Church World Service and honored the victims of 9-11 through a special use of a CWS Blanket.

Dear Church World Service:

To remember the sacrifice of 9-11 and to honor our national heritage, the Church World Service Blanket was mounted and for $5.00, a red, white or blue star could be purchased in memory or honor of a loved one. The committee was pleased with our church’s participation.
