Marie Varley visited areas of Pakistan affected by the devastating earthquake of late 2005.
Pakistan hills
A catastrophic earthquake hit northern Pakistan on 10/8/05 killing between 73,000-86,000 people and destroying 450,000 homes, leaving 3.3 million people homeless.
Jabba Camp
Jabba Camp is one of the few camps left housing over 50,000 people surviving a harsh winter in the Himalaya Mountains in plastic tents.and blankets supplied through CWS.

This young girl and her family are benefiting from clean drinking water supplied to the earthquake survivors.

1,785 men have been trained in carpentry, masonry, electrical works, welding, and plumbing. The men receive certificates for future employment and knowledge to rebuild their own homes.

Pakistani children
The majority of survivors are children who thank you for your generosity to CWS which has helped them to survive and begin to enjoy a better life and hopefully attend school.
