Volunteers are the heart and soul of the CROP Hunger Walks. They plan, they organize, and they motivate people to raise funds and awareness for hunger needs. In recognition of the faithful volunteers known as Coordinators, the Rocky Mountain office has launched a new Coordinator Recognition Plaque. The first plaque recognizes the 2007 Coordinators, and it hangs on the wall in our new office. You may also see a copy at this link:

Dr. Lin Allen, Associate Professor in the Communication Studies Program at the University of Northern Colorado provided an opportunity for her persuasive speech students to compete with one another during a summer 2005 class. Students prepared both oral and written presentations on why people should participate in a CROP Hunger Walk. Representatives from Church World Service selected the winning presenters, which was a challenge since all the presentations were great.
