Mira Weissickler began walking as a child in the Rockford, IL, Walk. Her parents drove every year from Galena to Rockford just to participate in the Walk. When Mira heard about the San Luis Valley Walk at Adams State College, where she is studying Sociology, she decided to once again participate.

The confirmation class from Monument Community Presbyterian Church drove from Monument to Alamosa to have the experience of participating in a CROP Hunger Walk.
