A day when Church World Service honors fathers around the world by providing the right tools at the right time for men, women, and young people to earn a livelihood after disasters, wars, or many years of deprivation.

Church World Service has spent the past 60 years responding to disasters at home and around the world, and assisting impoverished communities with the basic tools they need to build satisfying, sustainable lives.

The Tools & Blankets Program offers a special mission opportunity that can involve all ages. Some 8,000 congregations and groups across the U.S. hold Tools & Blankets offerings providing resources to help people in 80 nations, including the U.S. It’s easily promoted, inclusive, and inexpensive to support. Gifts as small as $5.00 can begin to bring hope to those who need it most.
